1/28/01 - Cypress Gardens with Bob & Bea The weather was great, Gramps (Bob) & Gramms (Bea) were ready for an adventure, so we decided to go to Cypress Gardens! We had a blast! We saw the ice skating show, the ski show, Magnolia Mansion (Gone with the Wind memorabilia), and quite a bit more! We tried to take pictures of the items we missed the last time we were here (back in November). Click here to see those pictures. There are a LOT of pictures -- so enjoy!
Grandma and Tara are ready to go to Cypress Gardens!	Muffy is sad that she can't go, however, she understands that she needs to guard her home. :)	Hello there!!

Tara, Gramma and Grampa say: Welcome to Cypress Gardens!	There are two possible captions for this photo (grin): 1) Before I started using Slimfast (tm), my butt was this big! OR 2) I love Cypress Gardens this much!	Up until seeing banana trees in Florida, we never knew they grew what appears to be upside-down!
Gramps is taking in a lesson in trees.	What a view, eh? By the way, the weather in Michigan at this time was 24' and cloudy...	Did we mention it's about 75' and clear?
"Hey, howz it hangin'?" Gramps sez...	"My name is Grandma, Grandma Gump." Gramms says in her best Forrest Gump voice.	A close-up view into the meadow.
Here's a view into the Oriental Garden portion of Cypress Gardens.	The Gazebo!	Gramps decided to take the camera and take a picture of Charly with a froggy.
The clock tower!	"Hello my lady, may I help you into the buggy?" Gramps said to Gramma.	Tara, Gramms, and Gramps stand next to the Mr. & Mrs. Green.
Grandma & Tara discovered that they pin the greens to a metal wire frame.	The Love Birds Bob & Bea - Cypress Gardens - Jan 28, 2001.	And the famous Florida Pool at Cypress Gardens, with Tara modeling like they did back in the 50's and 60's.
Interesting trees growing in Lake Eloise.	Lake Eloise is home to Cypress Gardens, which is where most of the world's water-ski moves are created and perfected.	Bamboo up the wahoo!
Here's the Cypress Gardens Topiary Band!	Gramps says the boat driver didn't do very well, knocked over a tree and the boat wall!	Another 'green' couple.
Another view of those trees in the water. The lake levels are really low right now as this part of Florida hasn't had a good rain in over 2 months.	Now this is an interesting branch structure! Every two or three inches there is a new segment.	And even more green people!
The Banyan Tree!	Here's a look at the underside of the Banyan Tree.	Look how big this is (and it's not nearly as big as the one at the Edison-Ford Estates) -- Tara is standing in the middle at the bottom.
These small 'branches' drop down and quickly become a new root.	Here are a couple of looks into the core...	...of the Banyan Tree.
This isn't part of the Banyan Tree, however, it is probably related. This is a Screw Pine. ;)	This tree is a poisonous tree with thorn-like projections off of its trunk.	A sausage tree!!
Here are the sausages -- they are generally 10 to 15 lbs and are composed of water.	Here is the Love Chapel at Cypress Gardens.	Someone is hiding! Can you figure out who it is?
Tara liked the planters so much, we took a picture of them.	Here's a view from the Gazebo down to the lake.	An interesting flower, we can't remember exactly what this is, however, it did have the word 'lipstick' in its title... Anyone know?
Pansies?	Gramps likes this place -- it's the wood shop!	In the butterfly garden, Gramms says how beautiful these little guys are.

It's quite a sight to see...	...in person!	Tara thinks the ice crystals on the tree are awesome!!
